Hello Sailor

New dress. I sew it myself. Again.

It's December

That means that November aka Movember is over! Noooo.. That's kind of sad. I like mustaches. Mustaches are cool. I f I was a man I would totally grow my own mustaches. But, I can conform myself that it comes again every year. 

I should share my new mustaches mittens with you. I knitted them all by myself. And those mittens are the coolest mittens on the earth!

Winter wonderland

It have been snowing for two days now. There is snow every were and it's lovely. Half of my window is under the snow. How cool that is? Tomorrow snowing should stop. I hope that sun would shine then it would be like a winter wonderland.

So lost in Riga

Yea! I finally did get all the photos from my trip to Riga. I try to be good girl and make some post of that on this weekend. If I have time. I have some sewing to do on this weekend also. I have to make a Santa Claus costume for my work place. Let's see how that will turn out. I'm little afraid about it.

Emotional roller coaster

Oh my. This is so funny. I can totally relate to this. Knitting is like free therapy. And every time I look my knittings I remember how I felt when I knitted it.

I like the feeling when you are with me

Gosh, time is flying. It's such a long time since I have wrote last time.

Yesterday I had a little guest with me. She is my cute little sister. We spend some sister time. 

We ate some Hello Kitty cookies. Cute as can be, but they didn't taste that good. 

We did get one Hello Kitty tattoo too. And there were glitter on it. Like who would not like glitter and Hello Kitty?

This morning. When we woke up there was sun. But it didn't last too long.. Well we are in Finland and it's November. So seeing sun is not the most common thing to happen here.. Well we see it again maybe on March.. or April

We had to get ready and do some dress up, because later we went to celebrate my Goddaughter's Birthday.

Beautiful shoes on the beach

Here is my beautiful shoes on the beach. Gosh I wish it would be still so warm and that sun would shine. But it is getting darker and darker everyday. That kind of sucks.

Although I am happy. I have moved to my new apartment. It is so great. I already love living in here. Well I have lived here only couple of days, but still. Living in downtown is so much fun. :)

Paint all over

Hi! It's been kind of long time again. And I still haven't get all the pics from our trip to Riga. Oh, well maybe soon. Life is so busy these days.

One of my super news is that I'm moving! Yea! And moving to down town. Which is quite cool. I'm moving together with my old, old friend and we both are so excited of this.

Today I have been painting our new stuff and also painted myself. I always do that..

Sweetheart

I made a new dress. And I'm quite excited of it. I just love the pattern of this dress. I'm also very proud of it, because I did this completely by myself and the cutting is not just a basic cut. And when I say I did this all by myself I really mean it. I have designed it myself, I made patterns myself and I sewed it myself. So yes I feel quite proud of myself.

And I just totally adore this! Lately I have been designing lots of clothes. I just hate that I have so little time to make them all. And finding right fabrics for different clothes are just a whole new story. I wish I had more time to do this.  I Just love this sewing and crafting stuff. I think I could do that all the time.

I'm really thinking quite seriously to open up my own shop on the Internet. Someday. That way I could keep sewing and making cute and quirky dresses without drowning myself into them.. Although that would be quite pleasant way to drown. But we'll see in the future what will be happen with this. I already have made couple dresses on sale.

Something I learned the other day "If you can dream it, you can do it." Lets hope that is true. Right?

P.s. I was on a trip with my friend couple weeks ago. In Riga. It was such a beautiful place. I have lots of pictures from there. And I promise I will do a post from there. As soon as I get all the photos!

Are these nails super cute? I think they are. Even though the picture is little bad quality.

Also. Yesterday I saw the cutest car ever. A pink VW beetle! Can there be any cuter car? I think no. This makes me want to get a driver's license. So adorable. 

Unikko

This beautiful skirt is made by me. The fabric is from Finnish design brand named Marimekko. This print is "Pieni Unikko 2." I like this skirt a lot. It is so cute. I like the fact that colors on this print are not the usual colors what Marimekko uses in their Unikko prints. Although I'm not sure does this mean that I have become old. In Finnish culture they say that only middle age people use Marimekko's Unikko print when they dress up.. I guess I have become a middle aged..? Hopefully not yet. But isn't this skirt cute? What do you think?

Happy song

Ok, first of all this is just testing how it would feel to write in English. I think it is little bit sad that your language skills will go wasted, if you can't use it anywhere. And I really would like to keep working with my English. I have improved my skills so much during a last year. Although I still might have some mistakes in my writing (geesh.. what are you talking about girl? Like you wouldn't make any mistakes when you write in Finnish?)

But. What I was thinking? Oh, yeah.. Does anyone have heard of a happy song? I think everyone should have their own "happy song." Happy song is a song you play every time you are happy or when you want to be happy and you need to cheer up. So happy song is a song you play quite a lot.

When we are talking of a happy song you don't need to be worry of that you would wear that song out. You can't do it. That is the one sign of what you can recognize if some song are really truly your happy song. You can't never ever wear it out and that song is working always! I really mean always.

My happy song is this. This song just always makes me feel happy and cute and that I can do anything. I totally love this song. It is just too cute and happy.

I also like that real song sang by Nancy Sinatra, it's cute and nice too. But some how I just love it more when Zooey Deschanel is singing it. Because she is just so adorable. And like a role model to me. So I prefer this version better.

Ostin hienon rolling stones paidan H&M:n lastenosastolta ja näytän vieläkin nuoremmalta kuin normaalisti. Luulin ennen, että kun vanhenet, niin alat näyttää myös vanhemmalta. Ehkä tää menee mulla käänteisesti?

Minä rakastan

Minä rakastan. Minä rakastan maailmaa, vaikka kaikki asiat eivät aina mene sillä tavoin kuin itse toivoisin.  Täällä on liian paljon kauniita asioita ja paikkoja. Maailma on ihmeellinen paikka, joka vetää välillä meidät kaikki sanattomiksi. Tapahtuu täällä paljon pahojakin asioita. Mutta rakastan silti. Miten voisin olla rakastamatta?

Jag älskar. Minä rakastan ihmisiä. Vaikka me kaikki teemme virheitä ja pahoja virheitä teemmekin välillä. Satutamme toisiamme ja itseämme. Kuitenkin.. Me kaikki haluamme samaa asiaa. Me haluamme olla onnellisia ja löytää ne asiat jotka tekevät juuri meidät onnellisiksi. Ja vaikka me välillä satutamme muita ihmisiä tiellämme omaan hyvään oloon, rakastan silti. Me kaikki olemme hyvin samankaltaisia, vaikka olisimme mistä kotoisin, mutta toisaalta taas kuitenkin niin erilaisia. Kuitenkin minä rakastan. Miten voisin olla rakastamatta?

I love. Minä rakastan itseäni. Koska jos, et rakasta itseäsi et kykene myöskään rakastamaan muita. Opettele rakastamaan itseäsi. Koska olet ainoa ihminen, kenen kanssa joudut viettämään aikaa hamaan loppuun asti. Olet yllätyksiä täynnä, myös itsellesi. Rakasta siis itseäsi. Minäkin rakastan itseäni. Miten voisinkaan olla rakastamatta? 

J'aime. Minä rakastan elämää.  Elämä on kaunista ja samalla rumaa. Ihanaa ja samalla karua. Helppoa ja samalla vaikeaa. Elämä on kuin pienen lapsen ensi askeleet. Niin huteraa ja epävarmaa. Välillä kaadutaan ja saadaan kolhuja. Tulee pahamieli. Mutta voi sitä onnea ja iloa, kun ne pienet huterat askeleet tuottavat tulosta  ja pääsemme oikeasti liikkeelle, eteenpäin, onnistumme. Puolikas lapasparista, joita olen tekemässä ystävälleni Söpöt, vaikka itse sanonkin. En enää tiedä haluanko antaakaan näitä pois. :)

Tuhlasin. Ostin itselleni jotain kaunista. Ja  kylläpä tämän paketin saapuminen ilostutti minua. Rakastan Nadinoon vaatteita. Ne ovat ihanan tyylikkäitä, romanttisia, hieman vanhan tyylisiä, mutta kuitenkin nykyaikaisia. En voi sanoa muuta kuin, että todella rakastan.

Nadinoolla on todella nopea toimitus. Kerran aiemmin olen heiltä mekon tilannut ja silloinkin toimitus oli todella nopeata. Tilasin mekon alkuviikosta, maanantaina tai tiistaina. Paketti saapui minulle tänään. Aika hyvin Englannista saapuvalta paketilta. Vai mitä? Laitan ehkä myöhemmin kuvaa myös mekosta. Mikäli saan jonkun sen kuvaamaan tai ehkä kuvaan mekkoni ihan vain henkarissa.

Opin eilen tekemään itse kankaalla päällystettyjä nappeja. No, eipä ne nyt niin vaikeita olleet kuin olin kuvitellut. Napit ovat osa tulevaa mekkoani, jota olen tällä hetkellä ompelemassa. Luulen että saan sen huomenna valmiiksi. Lupaan laittaa mekosta kuvan myös tänne. Sitten, kun vain saan sen kuvattua.

Yksi parhaista asioista kesällä on söpöt kesähatut. Varsinkin, jos ne on valmistettu oljesta.

Päivän Rusetti

Tämä ei ole päivän asu, vaan päivän rusetti. Kävin mielenkiintoisen keskustelun siitä, kuinka hieno rusetti minulla on kahden miehen kanssa. Toinen n. 50 vuotta ja toinen n.25-30 vuotta. Empä ole aikaisemmin keskustellut ruseteista kadulla vastaan tulevien miesten kanssa.

Loneliness

Sarjakuva, jonka omin pienin kätösen piirsin. Kuvastaa suuresti sitä miltä minusta tuntuu tällä hetkellä. Pahoitteluni kuvan laadusta, se on huono. Mutta minulla ei ole tällä hetkellä skanneria käytössä. Tähän saattaa olla tulossa jatkoa. Ehkä montakin osaa.

Back in Finland!

Nyt ollaan viimeinkin takaisin Suomessa. Matka meni hyvin ja minulla oli todella hauskaa.

Oli kuitenkin ihana nähdä ja kuulla läheisiä ihmisiä taas.

I'm in Canada

Olen viettanyt aikaani Kanadassa viime viikkojen ajan. Ja vietin viela muutaman tulevan viikon taalla. Taalla on lampoisempaa kuin Suomessa. Juhannus jaa tana vuonna valista... Mutta ehka ma keksin tavan jolla voin juhlistaa sita myos taalla. Mukavaa kesan alkua Suomeen
